Everything before you put your suitcases in Lille
Several solutions exist depending on your budget and your preferences: student residences, private accommodation or shared accommodation. To reduce the rent, you can claim CIF aid, in advance Loca-Pass to finance the security deposit, or Visale d'Action Housing guarantee if you need a guarantor.

Lille's city centre is easily reached on foot or by bike, and the metro, tram and bus network effectively serves the entire city. As soon as you get back to school, consider asking for your student card (or trades student card if you're on a dual basis): it gives you access to discounts on transport, but also on cinemas, theatres and museums.
Depending on your status, several devices exist. Scholarship students benefit from free access to the entrance examination, state scholarships and CROUS services. Alternatives in apprenticeship contracts may receive lump sum grants for accommodation, catering and transport, as well as the #HFD Generation Card to finance their equipment. The activity premium, subject to resource conditions, is also available to alternates.
Between festivals, museums, nightlife and the famous annual braderie, Lille's cultural effervescence guarantees that there is always something to do. And as the city travels easily on foot and/or by public transport, enjoying this daily student life becomes a real child's play.
