What financial aids for students and alternates?
Financing your studies is not always simple, and yet there are several solutions to ease the bill. Between grants based on social criteria, Erasmus+ grants for periods of mobility, the use of alternance which makes it possible to finance one's schooling while being paid, or student loans at preferential rates, each profile can find a mechanism adapted to its situation. Student aids
Grants
The entry competition of the national network EGC Business School is free for scholarship students. All courses at EGC Business School Lille open access to State grants and the services of the CROOS.
Aid for international mobility
European grants Erasmus and Mermoz participate in the financing of courses carried out abroad, in particular in international courses.
Student card
The Student card offers access to many advantages: university restaurants, transportation, cinemas, museums, theatres and partner shops.
It is issued at the start of the year and allows for reduced rates throughout the year.
Housing subsidies
- Several mechanisms exist to facilitate access to student housing:
- CAF (APL / ALS) : housing subsidies according to resources, rent and housing situation (simulation on caf.fr).
- Advance Loca-Pass : zero-rate loan to finance the security deposit.
- Visa Guarantee (Accommodation Action) : Free deposit to secure the rental for the duration of the lease.
Vacation grants
The device Departure 18:25 allows 18–25-year-olds to receive assistance to go on vacation. Under conditions of resources and status, the aid may cover up to 50% of the cost of the stay.
Aid for driving licences
Many aids exist to finance driving licences. Depending on your status (student or alternate), different devices can be mobilised. Information available in the dedicated article of the CCI Formation Hauts-de-France.
Aid for apprentices
Student Business Card
The Student card for trades gives access to the same benefits as the student card: cultural discounts, transportation and shops. It is issued at the start of the school year.
Regional aid
The #HFD Generation Card is an aid from the Hauts-de-France Region for apprentices. A maximum amount of 200 €It provides funding for textbooks and professional equipment for training.
Transport aid/accommodation/restoration
Alternatives in apprenticeship contracts are eligible for three lump sum grants:
- Accommodation: 4 € per night (night + breakfast)
- Restoration: 2 € per meal (breakfast and dinner for interns)
- Transport: flat-rate aid from 100 to 200 € by home distance – establishment
These aids can be combined withAid for transport to individuals (ATP) and are paid through school.
Financial aid
The activity premium is a scheme for employees with modest incomes. It supports purchasing power, especially for alternates. The request is made directly to the CIF.
